Perth Arrival!

Next, we headed back to Perth, Western Australia where we visited old friends, favorite haunts and the beach.

We stayed with Norman and Norah who are Cath's parents (the people we visited in Brisbane). When we lived in Perth, Norah and Norman were surrogate grandparents to our kids and took great care of our family in so many ways. It felt like little had changed. The kids quickly felt at home with them and in their home.

Norman had the salt water pool ready and Norah had meals and various bickies (biscuits aka cookies) for the kids. Norman also introduced little Clint to cricket. Any combination of bat and ball gets a warm reception from him. We've been playing every since. . . on the grass and on the beach.

Norah and Norman also outfitted us for our trip to Rottnest Island. . . Sode was delighted to find a snorkel mask to fit her in Norman's shed.

Thanks for keeping us updated! What a wonderful trip you are having. Would love to see those quokka and all the other wild animals you've encountered. You're missing some very cold weather here! Enjoy your Christmas in the sun! Will think of you as we sing down Chrismtas tree lane tomorrow. Love, the Buxtons
